Request for short courses, field courses, mini-conferences or training sessions, or sponsorship of these events, to be held in partnership with the California Small Farm Conference in Stockton on Sunday October 29, 2017.
The 2017 California Small Farm Conference (CSFC) will be held at the Robert Cabral Agricultural Center in Stockton on Sunday, October 29 and Monday, October 30. This year’s conference will be different from recent California Small Farm Conferences in that it will not be held at a hotel, will be shorter and more affordable for small-scale farmers to attend.
The CSFC Board of Directors has reserved the entire Cabral Ag Center, with three classrooms and three larger assembly rooms, for both Sunday, October 29 and Monday, October 30. This year, all keynote presentations, a trade show, and concurrent workshop sessions will be held on Monday, October 30. We will be planning a networking reception for all conference participants in the evening on Sunday, October 29.
We invite our colleague organizations – farmer educators, farmers’ market organizations and other related groups, to sponsor day-long or half-day short courses, field courses, training sessions, mini-conferences or other activities in partnership with the CSFC on Sunday October 29 at the Cabral Ag Center.
These sessions will be included in CSFC’s marketing materials and conference registration system. The CSFC would charge your organization a small fee (to be determined) for coordination, marketing, registration and facility use. Participants in the course can be charged reasonable fees with registration fees processed through the CSFC registration system. Your organization will be responsible for the content of your session and for arranging and paying for any catering, transportation or other needs for your session.
Please submit your short course & field course proposals here.
Due Date: Please submit proposals by May 31,2017.
For more information, please contact Rex Dufour (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Penny Leff (email@example.com)
We also encourage partner organizations to submit proposals for 60-90 minute workshop/roundtable discussion/networking sessions on Monday, October 30. The call for workshop proposals is posted here.
