Building Successful Honor System Farm Stands
Honor system farm stands are where farmers sell fruits, vegetables, and eggs right on their farm via a self-service business model in which customers weigh their own produce, record what they select, tally the total, and deposit money in a collection box. This workshop introduces participants to the core honor system model, highlights the commonalities found across effective stands, and provides an opportunity to hear directly from farmers who have built successful and profitable stands through trial and error. Learn how this model can provide a new market channel that is highly convenient, requires little infrastructure costs, and direct-to-consumer prices.
