Future of Community Supported Agriculture in California

What is the future of Community Supported Agriculture in California? Is a CSA model right for my farm? How should I price my box?  How do I attract and maintain the right members?  How do we strengthen Community Supported Agriculture in California? This round-table discussion will wrestle with these questions and others that emerged from five CSA workshops with farmers from across the state. We will start with a brief information session, where we will hear from a CSA researcher at UC Davis, a single farm CSA and a multi-farm CSA. Then we want to hear from you about the challenges and opportunities of operating a CSA model. The discussion will be open to those interested in starting a CSA, those interested in bringing CSAs to their communities, as well as established CSAs. We encourage those that currently run CSAs to share their knowledge about the CSA model and to tell researchers and advocates where there are current gaps in knowledge and resources for CSA operators. This will also be a great opportunity to network with other CSA operators from across the state.
