Ethnic Specialty Crops ~ Commercial Urban Agriculture

Our unique “California Grown” stories will offer challenges and solutions to access of fresh, locally produced ethnic specialty crops within food insecure and economically depressed communities throughout “the Greatest Garden in the World.”  The niche commercial marketplace of ethnic specialty crops is part of an expanded “California Grown” bounty of unique heritage ethnic specialty crops.  Commercial Urban Agriculture is poised for explosive community economic growth.  California Ethnic Specialty Crop production leads the nation, helping to change the paradigm of USDA / CDFA public policy toward enhanced equity and equal opportunity for Commercial Urban Agriculture.  Workshop attendees will hear from seasoned producers and veterans of sustainable agriculture public policy in California and beyond.
