Chris Hay


Started farming in 2010, now farms 50 acres (2 sites) of diversified veg crop production; 1600 hens for egg production. He started his interaction with the food system when he worked at Chez Paniz, and then went to UC Berkeley, graduated, and then worked on farms in Watsonville area for a couple of year before starting his own farm on 2 acres west of Woodland in 2010. Chris’s focus and vision is trying to integrate animals and plants ecologically and financially into a successful, sustainable farming operation. Chris markets through a CSA, farmers markets, Blue Apron, on-line, and at various retail markets in the Sacramento and Bay Area.
